Caregiver Stress Zones

Ever since studies emphasized the high-stress environment in which nurses' work, the scientific community has arduously examined potential stressors and ways to improve caregiver work conditions in healthcare settings. Of particular importance was (and is) the realization that stress can impact human performance and, hence, patient care quality, efficiency and safety. Staff stress is associated with two principal sources that continuously interact in a complex fashion - stressors originating from operational, cultural and organizational factors and stressors originating from physical environment factors.
