An Old(er) Fellow’s Musings about Building Envelopes and Energy Efficiency

Apr 13, 2015

(The entry contains a PowerPoint presentation in PDF from the BEST4 conference.) Andre Desjarlais, program manager at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, offers a decade-by-decade retrospective of the important world events, national trivia, and developments in energy standards. Beginning in the 1970s, Desjarlais uses a lighthearted approach to outline the elements that he believes have led the US to an overall 30 percent energy efficiency improvement in building envelope design standards during the span of his career.
