Representation and Installation: Curating Architectural Exhibitions

Apr 06, 2015

This paper reviews two projects (Building Waterloo Region – No Small Plans and BRIDGE Waterloo Architecture) that seek to establish new ways of connecting architecture to the public consciousness through curation by identifying and assessing the practices, techniques, and challenges of curating and creating the premise for architectural exhibitions. Also, through these projects, the paper explores the potential of exhibitions as places of mediation, interaction, education, conversation, deliberation, inspiration, and experimentation, as well as an act to enrich the cultural intensity of a community.
