A Parametric Metamorphosis of Islamic Geometric Patterns: The Extraction of New from Traditional

A method of exploring geometric patterns in design is presented. The method uses traditional Islamic geometry as a starting point and performs a metamorphosis operation for geometrical creation and exploration of possible variations.
