Part I - Needle Probe Task

This is the first in a series of research reports that describe the relationship between illumination level and the performance of complex tasks having selected realistic components. The task described in this article required subjects to insert a fine tipped probed into the eye-holes of then needles in rapid succession. Results of the needle probe task and of different tasks reported by other investigators are compared.
